Providing information on students and graduates of Gdańsk University of Technology to third parties
Pursuant to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the General Data Protection Regulation) Gdańsk University of Technology is not authorized to provide information about students and graduates at the request of third parties.
Gdańsk University of Technology may provide information on the course and completion of studies only to its students and graduates concerned, while retaining the right to verify the identity of the person who requests such information.
Gdańsk University of Technology may also provide information on the course and completion of studies to other entities, but only if they have been indicated by the student or graduate concerned as eligible to receive such information.
A consent for Gdańsk University of Technology to provide the specified scope of information to the indicated third parties may be submitted by a student or a graduate in person at the University (at the dean’ office of the appropriate Faculty) or by sending a signed request by post to the following address: Politechnika Gdańska, ul. G. Narutowicza 11/12, 80-233 Gdańsk, via the Internet – using the ePUAP platform, or by email (in the latter case the request must be signed with a secure electronic signature) to the address of the appropriate dean’s office, or via the University’s system MojaPG (in which case the request does not require a secure electronic signature) to the address of the appropriate dean’s office. The information is provided free of charge.
Documents to be used in international legal transactions are authenticated at the request of the graduate concerned by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA)—pursuant to Article 2(3)(5) of the Act of 7 July 2017 on the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange. Starting from February 1, 2018, the NAWA Director authenticates the following documents:
- diplomas of graduation with supplements, as well as copies of such documents in Polish and in a foreign language;
- certificates of completion of post-graduate programs;
- duplicate documents referred to above; certificates of graduation.
Authenticated can only be documents related to completed programs. NAWA does not have any information on student’s records. For more information, please visit the NAWA website.
