Graduates are prepared to work effectively in industrial team environments and tackle technical and organizational challenges in production engineering and management.

A strong manager and production engineer must be able to seamlessly combine theory with practical application. That is why we provide comprehensive knowledge across key areas, including production engineering, manufacturing processes and systems, information systems, production management and economics, as well as quality management of products and processes. You will get to explore and apply this knowledge through a wide range of hands-on classes. In our modern laboratories and teaching facilities, you will gain practical experience working with state-of-the-art CNC machining centers and machining technologies. You will also learn rapid prototyping using a range of 3D printing technologies. In addition, you will develop skills in reverse engineering, including 3D scanning and CAD modeling, as well as computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM). Further key competencies include creating technical documentation, quality control using coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and GD&T tolerance analysis, as well as using advanced measurement systems to evaluate product conformity and monitor production processes.

Fun fact
The PGRacing Team is part of the “Mechanik” Student Research Club. The team brings together students who design and build Formula Student race cars. In 2025, the team won the overall title at Formula Student Netherlands. In the 2024 season, they placed 3rd overall at Formula Student Poland, where they also won the Engineering Design Event. They additionally took 2nd place in the Business Plan Presentation at Formula Student Czech Republic. The team also has a history of success in other engineering competitions, including a 3rd place finish at Pneumobil 2015 in Eger.
