Collaboration between Science and Industry: Conference – Constellation of Scientific Schools in Mechanical Engineering
"Constellation of Scientific Schools in Mechanical Engineering" Conference aims to further develop collaboration between the four Schools and create a forum for exchanging knowledge and experiences between scientists, entrepreneurs, and doctoral students in the field of mechanical engineering. The School of Abrasive Machining and the School of Cutting Machining have long supported the development of the scientific community, serving as a platform for cooperation between science and industry. The growing interest in additive and hybrid technologies, along with the demands of Industry 4.0, highlighted the need to expand the activities of these Schools into new areas. In response to these challenges, two new Scientific Schools were established in 2023: the School of Additive Technologies and the School of Production Automation. The conference will also feature a discussion panel with scientists and entrepreneurs.
Participating Scientific Schools
The following Scientific Schools will participate in the conference:
-
46th Scientific School of Abrasive Machining (NSOŚ)
Operating since 1973, Chair of the NSOŚ Scientific Committee: Prof. Wojciech Kacalak. -
17th School of Cutting Machining (SOS)
Operating since 2000, Chair of the SOS Scientific Committee: Prof. Piotr Cichosz. -
2nd Scientific School of Production Automation (NSAP)
Established in 2023, Chair of the NSAP Scientific Committee: Prof. Mirosław Pajor. -
2nd Scientific School of Additive Technologies (NSTP)
Established in 2023, Chair of the NSTP Scientific Committee: Dr. hab. inż. Błażej Bałasz, Prof. PK.
Participation Costs
The conference fee is 2,500 PLN for participants and 1,300 PLN for accompanying persons. If the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSzW) announces a competition supporting conference organization, such as "Excellent Science," and funding is obtained, the fee will be reduced.
The conference fee includes:
- Accommodation and full board,
- Participation in accompanying events,
- Promotional materials,
- Administrative support for participants,
- Publication in a scientific monograph.
The fee does not cover the cost of publishing articles in journals. A list of special issue journals, including those rated at 100 and 140 points, will be published soon.
We warmly invite you to participate in this unique event, which will undoubtedly contribute to the further development of mechanical engineering and foster valuable connections between representatives of science and industry.
