FACILITY FOR TIRE/ROAD NOISE AND ROLLING RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT FOR CAR „DRUM 1.7”

FACILITY FOR TIRE/ROAD NOISE AND ROLLING RESISTANCE MEASUREMENT FOR CAR „DRUM 1.7”

LOCATION: The main building of the former Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, laboratory of DMVMT, (patrons: Associate Professor Grzegorz Ronowski, Professor Jerzy A. Ejsmont, Associate Professor Piotr Mioduszewski, Associate Professor Stanisław Taryma, PhD Eng. Ryszard Woźniak, PhD Eng. Wojciech Owczarzak, MSc Eng. Sławomir Sommer).

DESCRIPTION: Test device for measuring the rolling resistance and noise of passenger car tires. Two test surfaces - PERS and APS4 - are mounted on the drum. It is planned to replace these surfaces due to their wear and tear. The device is used for research carried out as part of international and national projects of a lower rank due to worse parameters than DRUM 2.0.

List of projects in which the device has been and is used: 5PRUE – SILVIA, 7PRUE – PERSUADE, Norway Grants - LEO, PolNor - ELANORE, NCBiR - SEPOR.

List of principals for whom research was/are being conducted:  scientific institutes: VTI, Sweden; SINTEF, Norway.

MOBILE SET FOR CAR TIRES AND ROAD SURFACES NOISE MEASUREMENTS „TIRESONIC MK.4”

MOBILE SET FOR CAR TIRES AND ROAD SURFACES NOISE MEASUREMENTS „TIRESONIC MK.4”

LOCATION: Building No 16 „Forge”, laboratory of DMVMT, (patrons: Associate Professor Grzegorz Ronowski, Professor Jerzy A. Ejsmont, Associate Professor Piotr Mioduszewski, Associate Professor Stanisław Taryma, PhD Eng. Ryszard Woźniak, PhD Eng. Wojciech Owczarzak, MSc Eng. Sławomir Sommer).

DESCRIPTION: Test device for noise measurements of car tires and road surfaces in road conditions. The set includes a Tiresonic Mk.4 test trailer (built in DMVMT in accordance with ISO 11819-2: 2017 and fully meets the certification requirements specified therein) and a towing vehicle - Skoda Superb. The device is used for research carried out as part of international and national projects as well as in research for industry carried out both in Poland and abroad. It enables the measurements of pavement noise using the CPX method in accordance with the ISO 11819-2 standard.

List of projects in which the device has been and is used: 5PRUE – SILVIA, 7PRUE – PERSUADE, 7PRUE - ROSANNE, Norway Grants – LEO, NCBiR – SEPOR, PolNor - ELANORE.
