Digital Skills for Wind Energy Systems is offered as part of the international DigiWind project, under the industry patronage of PGE Baltica.
“The Digital Skills for Wind Energy Systems program focuses on modern technologies in wind energy and is designed for professionals who want to play an active role in the energy transition and the development of renewable energy sources — especially in the context of digitalization and automation,” says Wojciech Olszewski, head of the postgraduate program. “It’s primarily intended for engineers and technical specialists who want to deepen their expertise in the design, operation, and monitoring of both onshore and offshore wind farms.”
The program is open to professionals working in energy, automation, electrical engineering, or mechanics, as well as those specializing in IT systems, data analysis, or artificial intelligence — areas that are increasingly vital in the modern renewable energy sector. A strong emphasis is placed on digital solutions such as cloud and edge computing, digital twins, SCADA systems, predictive maintenance methods, and cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.
The studies also welcome management professionals who want to better understand the technological potential of wind farms, optimize energy production, and explore integration with capacity markets and smart power grids. A key part of the curriculum focuses on sustainable development and ESG strategies.
