Research and scientific activities
The didactic research and scientific activities of the Department of Marine Energy and Control are mainly related to the analysis, modeling, design, simulation, control, and diagnostics of dynamic systems in marine technologies, as well as in broadly understood power and propulsion systems, with particular emphasis on gas and steam turbines.
Laboratories: The laboratories of the Department of Marine Energy and Control are the technical base of the research activities that enables also the efficient implementation of the teaching process. The facilities include:
- turbine research laboratory - a modern air turbine stand, used, among others, in research on the influence of sealing on the acting forces on the rotor,
- didactic turbine laboratory – it includes: modeling and test stand equipped to software: LAB-VIEW (measurement visualization), FLUENT (flow modeling), FLOWER (flow modeling), ROTOR KIT (rotor dynamics modeling),
- didactic laboratory of automation and robotics – it includes: measuring stands, robot and manipulator systems, and equipped with software: MATLAB, ROTOR KIT
