We sincerely thank you for your attendance, presentations, discussions and behind-the-scenes conversations. We wish to all of us fruitful meetings at future editions of ISSW.

ISSW2022 postponed to 12-14 of September 2022.

Dear Colleagues

The development of a tragic war in Ukraine has thwarted our plans related to the International Ship Stability Workshop ISSW2022. Therefore, the STAB International Standing Committee, together with the Local Organizing Committee, decided to reschedule this year’s workshop in order to enable the widest possible attendance of as many interested participants as feasible. The new and final date has been set to 12-14 of September 2022. We believe the newly established date meet s expectations of the shipstab society worldwide.

The shape of the ISSW will be retained, all the invited speakers and accepted papers remain as planned. The traditional formula of the ISSW focusing on physical meeting will be sustained. However, for those attendees who will not be able to come to Gdansk in-person, we will arrange an on-line transmission enabling active participation.

We truly hope to meet up with all colleagues interested in ship stability stuff in September for vigorous discussions and enjoyable time in Poland.

The International Ship Stability Workshop (ISSW) and the International Conference on Stability of Ships and Ocean Vehicles (STAB) are the world's most representative professional meetings in the field of ship stability and safety. The workshops attract top international researchers and representatives of shipowners, shipyards, classification societies, shipping authorities and other stakeholders. The main topics of the ISSW concern new developments in the field. The format of the workshop includes in-depth discussions in an informal manner, resulting in an ideal environment for participants interested in current research and development.

General information about ISSW and events from STAB can be found here. The proceedings of past events can be downloaded  here.

The 18th International Ship Stability Workshop, ISSW 2022, will be held in Gdansk, at the National Maritime Museum building, Ołowianka 9-13, Gdańsk, Poland.
