Contaminated media lubricated journal bearings
The ZAN test rig is used for investigation of the tribological performance of journal-sliding bearings under static load, while lubricated with contaminated media (e.g. mineral oil, water). The stand is equipped with a circulatory, gravitational supply for liquid lubricant with constant agitation for stabilised contaminant content. Rotational speed and loads are programmable within a wide range of settings. Variable load/velocity tests can also be performed.
