On April 20, 2021 between 9:00 and 12:00 Gdańsk will host the first European conference GreenMarE dedicated to "green" technologies, reducing the polution caused by ships, in compliance with the new, global climate policy. Due to COVID-19 pandemics, the conference will have online formula.

The conference is organized by Związek Pracodawców FORUM OKRĘTOWE, Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie S.A. and PORTALMORSKI.PL Sp. z o.o., with the honrary patronage of:

  • The Embassy of Norway in Poland,
  • SEA Europe – The Shipyards' & Maritime Equipment Association of Europe,
  • DNV,
  • President of the City of Gdańsk.

We are faced with serious changes in marine shipping caused by the decarbonization of the sailing. They provoke many questions:

  • Are we ready for the "green revolution" in marine shipping?
  • Do technical solutions keep the pace with climatic objectives defined by the politicians?
  • COVID-19 – can decarbonization of sailing be a chance for the shipping and marine industry suffering from the recession caused by the pandemics?
  • Are there any standards and regulations available for the design and construction of emission-free vessels?
  • Europe is a very active pioneer of changes - what about the rest of the world?
  • Who will pay for all this?

These and other questions will be asked during the conference and we will requests renowned experts to provide the answers.

We invite you to register and participate in the conference.
