Vilnian, a renowned specialist and a friend. Marian Dziewulski, PhD, ME, departed at 97 years of age | Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology at the Gdańsk University of Technology

He specialized in hydraulic drives of machines, one of the creators of research and didactic team on hydraulics, he contributed to the laboratory base. He conducted numerous research including industrial implications. He wrote and co-wrote books, coursebooks and numerous scientific and technical papers. 

Wacław Dziewulski initiated seminars and wrote papers on the didactics in higher education. He was a praiseworthy activist of the Society of Polish Engineers, Mechanics and Technicians. He popularized historical knowledge on Eastern marches of Poland, especially Vilnius region. He received numerous awards from the Rector of Gdańsk University of Technology and Ministry of Education. He was awarded a Golden Corss of Merit and Order of National Education. 

We lost a good friend, a man of many talents and great knowledge.
