Many things have changed, but the mosaic is still there. New look of the Institute of Ocean and Ship Technology building
Building no.30 of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, previously the Faculty of Ocean and Ship Technology received new, white-gray facade. The new look includes the characteristic mosaic. 

The committee accepeted the works on Monday, December 20. The scope of work included thermal insulation, renovation of the staircase to the ventilator room, new windows and doors, replaement of gutter pipes and drain pipes, removal of the balconies. 

The building was erected in 1978. On these premises academics teach future engineers who will find employment in ship-building industry. Candidates can select from such courses as: ocean technology, energy production, transport or off-shore and coastal engineering. In 2021 a new course was launched - design and construction of yachts. 

Renovation of the 2nd and 9th floor is planned in the nearest future. Recently, rooms on the 7th and 8th floor have been renovated and in 2015 ship model basin was built.
