Community Budget of Gdansk University of Technology 2022. One FMEST project on the winning list
Seating area for students at FMEST is one of the projects that received the highest number of votes and were qualified for realization within the 4th edition of the Community Budget. This idea received 318 votes. 

In this year's edition of the GUT Community Budget 6 student and 8 employee projects fought for the votes. Employee projects received 1116 votes in total, while students projects got 1809 votes altogether. 

Employee projects that received the most votes and were qualified for the realization: 

    Fruity GUT - tasty, green, eco. Fruit trees and shrubs at the campus (287 votes)
    Less CO2, more eco-power! GUT goes for clean energy sources (177 votes)
    Construction of a new air-conditioning system in PD auditorium in Hydro building (157 votes)

Student projects that received the most votes and were qualified for the realization:

    Drinking water fountain in new ETI (394 votes)
    Flowery meadow (328 votes)
    Seating areas in FMEST buildings (318 votes)

The above listed projects will be realized because GUT Rector, professor Krzysztof Wilde, decided to allocate extra 92 thousand zlotys to the amount reserved for financing the projects in this edition of the Community Budget. Combined cost of the projects to be realized is 426,2 thousand zlotys for employee projects and 150 thousand zlotys for student projects (previously 350 thousand and 150 thousand zlotys, respectively). Winning projects will be included in the GUT budget and will be completed by the end of 2022.  

Within the 5 previous editions of the community budget, 15 employee and 18 student projects were realized. Total cost of all these projects amounted to 2,5 million zlotys. Currently projects that qualified in 2021 are under realization. Current progress of the works can be seen at GUT Community Budget website. 

GUT is the first university in the region to launch the community budget.
