Experiment: Would Jack have survived if he had climbed onto the door in "Titanic"?

Titanic
The film "Titanic" is now 26 years old. Surely everyone remembers the scene where Rose is floating on a wooden door in the ocean, and there’s no room for Jack. Could Jack have survived if he had managed to climb onto it?

Journalists from "Dzień Dobry TVN" conducted an experiment at a swimming pool. Observing and commenting on it was Dr Maciej Reichel from the Institute of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology.

“Floating on a door together, in maritime conditions, would be extremely difficult, if not impossible. The door is narrow, long, and very thin—unlike a ship, which is also narrow and long but significantly taller. The fact that Rose managed to climb onto the door and stay afloat while Jack didn’t ultimately saved her life,” said Dr Maciej Reichel.
