FMEST Signs Cooperation Agreement with the ZSM “Heroic Defenders of Westerplatte” in Gdańsk | Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology at the Gdańsk University of Technology

The cooperation agreement aimed at enhancing the quality of education for students at Zespół Szkół Morskich includes consulting on the implementation of curricula in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science, as well as educational innovations. The agreement also provides ZSM students with the opportunity to participate in activities organised by Gdańsk University of Technology and to develop their interests through university scientifics/student clubs.

The meeting was attended by:

• Professor Andrzej Seweryn – Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology at Gdańsk University of Technology,
• Wojciech Litwin, Professor at Gdańsk University of Technology – Director of the Shipbuilding Institute at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology,
• Ryszard Dombrowski – Director of the Zespół Szkół Morskich im. Bohaterskich Obrońców Westerplatte in Gdańsk.

Under the terms of the agreement, ZSM students are undertaking practical training in the profession of ship mechanic technician in the Ship Systems and Machinery Laboratory at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology in the 2023/2024 academic year.
