Damen Engineering Signs Partnership Agreement

The agreement was signed by Professor Mariusz Deja, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, and Ryszard Stawarz, Business Development Manager at Damen Engineering. The meeting was also attended by Professor Wojciech Litwin, Director of the Institute of Shipbuilding, and Jacek Frost.
The Naval Architecture and Offshore Structures programme stands out for its flexible schedule, close industry collaboration, and the opportunity to undertake courses and projects in English.
Partner companies provide academic support for students writing their dissertations, act as consultants in curriculum development, and organise professional training tailored to industry needs.
About the Company
Damen Engineering Gdańsk is part of the Dutch Damen Shipyards Group. As a specialised competence centre, it currently employs 150 professionals. The Gdańsk branch focuses on designing prototype and specialised vessels, as well as other floating solutions.
Projects include offshore wind service vessels (such as cable-laying and maintenance ships), double-ended ferries, passenger and transport ferries, and vessels for special purposes, including humanitarian aid and infrastructure defence. The vast majority of these projects are later executed at Damen’s shipyards worldwide.
