TRANSPORTER, the faculty job fair, has returned to the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology after a several-year hiatus. On Tuesday, students had the opportunity to meet with employers from six companies in the transport, freight forwarding, and logistics sector.

The event was officially opened by Professor Mariusz Deja, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, and Monika Downar, Head of the Career and Alumni Office at Gdańsk University of Technology. Also present at the opening were Dr. Paulina Strąkowska, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs; Dr. Marek Chodnicki, Vice-Dean for Cooperation; and Dr. Agnieszka Maczyszyn, Coordinator for Internships in the Transport and Logistics programme.

During TRANSPORTER, six companies showcased their businesses:

  • Laude Smart Intermodal S.A.

  • LPP Logistics

  • MG Sp. z o.o. Sp. k. – CAT Authorized Marine Dealer

  • Ocean Network Express (Europe) Ltd.

  • Rohling Suus Logistics S.A.

  • SKAT Transport P. S.A.

The fair provided companies with an opportunity to present their operations, offering insights into job openings, internships, and placements. Attendees learned about recruitment processes and employer expectations.

The Dean of FMEST also met with company representatives to discuss opportunities for expanding cooperation.

Visitors had the chance to participate in individual career consultations with an advisor from the Career and Alumni Office, a co-organiser of the event. They also engaged with representatives of the Faculty Student Council and members of the scientific club WiR – Strength and Risk.
