WEGEMT VISIONS – PhD Dissertation Competition in Marine Technology

WEGEMT (The European Association of Universities in Marine Technology and Related Sciences) is launching the “WEGEMT VISIONS Best PhD Thesis Award” to recognize outstanding doctoral dissertations that make a significant contribution to the advancement of marine technology and related fields.

The competition is open to authors of doctoral theses defended between 2020 and 2024 at universities that are members of the WEGEMT network. Submissions are welcome in the broad areas of:

Naval Architecture
Marine Engineering
Ocean Engineering
Offshore Engineering
Maritime Transport and Logistics
Inland Waterway Transport
Marine Environmental Protection
Maritime Safety

This initiative supports WEGEMT’s mission to foster the development of skills and expertise among engineers and early-career researchers in the marine technology sector—by promoting scientific excellence and innovative research.
