The best season in PGRacing Team’s history – major successes in Formula Student

The PGR-08 EVO, the car they competed with this year, is an evolution of the previous generation vehicle. This season’s success was the result of collaboration between nine subteams, including Powertrain, Electronics, Chassis, Aerodynamics, Suspension, Vehicle Performance, and Marketing.
“This was a truly exceptional season for us. We returned to competitions we knew from previous years, but this time achieved much stronger results. We started the season with a win in the Netherlands, which gave us a huge boost of energy and motivation. Just three years ago we didn’t even pass technical inspection, and this year we came back as overall winners with nine trophies and podium finishes in every event. The victory in the Netherlands symbolizes ten years of development of the PGRacing Team and shows that consistency, passion, and hard work pay off,” says Wiktoria Sadłowska from PGRacing Team.
Additional podium finishes in Austria and the Czech Republic confirmed the team’s progress and proved that their efforts to refine the car were worthwhile.
“The Croatian round that wrapped up the season didn’t go entirely as planned, but we still achieved high placements. We’re proud that our car can compete with the very best in the field,” a team member adds.

Looking ahead
The team is already preparing for the future. Building on the knowledge and experience gained this season, they plan to design a new car concept and build the next generation of their combustion-powered racer.
About Formula Student
Formula Student is the world’s leading engineering competition for university students, with both dynamic and static events. Teams design and build their own race cars, which then compete on international circuits. Students are evaluated not only on their engineering skills but also on areas such as project costing and marketing.
Sponsors and support
Sponsors play a key role in enabling students to grow and introduce innovative solutions in their cars. Their support comes in many forms—financial contributions, training, expert consultations, manufacturing services, and supplying components that students cannot produce on their own. The team’s main sponsor this season was Radmot.
Equally important is the strong backing of Gdańsk University of Technology. Thanks to the university, students have access to dedicated workspaces, academic support from professors, and financial resources necessary to participate in such a prestigious competition.
The PGRacing Team operates within the Mechanik Student Research Club under the supervision of Dr. Bogdan Ścibiorski.
