Transfers from another university

A student of another university may apply for transfer to the Gdańsk University of Technology: 

  • after the end of the first and second semester of first-cycle studies, assuming that the registration conditions for the third semester are met (fulfilled), i.e. with a debt not exceeding 12 ECTS, 
  • after the end of the first semester of second-cycle studies, assuming that the registration conditions for the second semester are met (fulfilled), i.e. with a debt not exceeding 12 ECTS. 

To do this, you should: 

  1. submit the original application to undertake studies by transfer Transfer application (download) at least 30 days before the start of the next semester to the dean's office of the selected faculty, 
  2. attach to the application: 
  • opinion of the head of the parent (current) unit where he studies, 
  • a study record card certified by the home university, 
  • cards of completed subjects (syllabus) including subject content, ECTS number, number of hours and learning outcomes, 
  • in the case of a student whose previous stage of education was completed according to a foreign education system, the student submits documents consistent with the list of documents required in the admission process through recruitment, 
  • sworn or equivalent translation of documents into Polish or English in the case of studies or part of studies at foreign universities, if the documents were not issued in Polish or English. 

After analyzing the program, plan, status of studies and achieved learning outcomes, the authorized person makes a decision regarding transfer, indicates the semester of the student's registration and determines any possible program differences. 

Refusal of admission to studies due to transfer from the home university is made by way of an administrative decision.
