Gdańsk University of Technology and Polish Tribological Society invite you to the 44th Polish Tribology Conference under the traditional name of Autumn Tribology School, this year organized in Gdańsk. Since 1967, this conference has served as a venue for presenting the latest research results, engaging in lively discussions, and networking with both the academic community and practitioners. We invite you to submit papers and participate, and present the results of your research, keeping in mind the theme of this edition: Tribology for Sustainable Development, including, but not limited to:
- Reducing friction and wear to increase the energy efficiency of machines and devices and to reduce CO2 emissions.
- Designing eco-friendly materials and lubricants, including biodegradable and low-emission ones.
- Increasing the durability of machine components through innovative coatings and processing technologies.
- Minimizing energy losses in mechanical systems.
- Tribology in renewable energy sources, such as wind and water turbines.
- Process optimization in low-emission transport, including electric and hybrid vehicles, and ship propulsion systems.
- Recycling and reuse of components with consideration for tribological properties.
- Wear monitoring and diagnostics in the context of Industry 4.0 and intelligent maintenance systems.
- Tribology in medicine and biomaterials, supporting the durability of implants and prostheses.
