DigiWind TUS Open Call: up to 6 scholarships for Master's by Research
The DigiWind project, in partnership with the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), is offering up to six partial scholarships for a Master's by Research in Electrical Power Systems or Wind Energy Systems.
This unique opportunity includes a two-year fee waiver and a €1,000/month stipend, focusing on digital innovation in wind and energy systems. The program, hosted at the TUS Campus in Limerick, Ireland, is open to applicants from EU Member States and Digital Europe Associated Countries with a relevant bachelor's degree.

Career after WIMiO: Piotr Jędrzejewski [ALUMNUS PROFILE]
Piotr Jędrzejewski is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology at Gdańsk University of Technology. He specialized in computer-aided design and operation of machinery and now works as a technical support and product development engineer in the R&D Department at Hydropress, the company he has been with since the very beginning of his career.
He began by designing hydraulic systems, selecting individual components, and supporting the sales department. For him, the first stage of professional life after graduation is a time of intensive learning—when theoretical knowledge and skills gained during studies are complemented by the practical realities of engineering work. A major milestone came with his involvement in implementing a new ERP system. Being part of the implementation team gave Piotr insight into resource management within the company and broadened his understanding of commercial operations.
International ICAME & HYPERFINE Conference Coming Soon to Gdańsk
The International Conference on the Applications of the Mössbauer Effect (ICAME), held jointly with the International Conference on Hyperfine Interactions and Their Applications (HYPERFINE), will take place this year in Gdańsk from 7 to 12 September.
This is a unique opportunity for researchers from around the world specializing in Mössbauer spectroscopy and hyperfine interactions to come together and share their latest findings.

TECoNaut: The “Forgotten” Yacht Set for a New Life – Here’s What the Interior Will Look Like
It never set sail and spent over a decade sitting in a garden under a tarp. The small MicroPolo yacht, designed in the 1980s by Dr. Jacek Centkowski and Dr. Jan Młynarczyk, is now getting a new “eco-life” as part of the TECoNaut project.
As a TECoNaut project partner, Gdańsk University of Technology aims to show that sustainable sailing is about more than just modern materials and eco-friendly propulsion. It's also about giving a second life to boats that have been forgotten—whether left to deteriorate in marinas or abandoned behind someone’s home.

WEGEMT (The European Association of Universities in Marine Technology and Related Sciences) is launching the “WEGEMT VISIONS Best PhD Thesis Award” to recognize outstanding doctoral dissertations that make a significant contribution to the advancement of marine technology and related fields.

Recruitment Now Open for Offshore Master's Program at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology
Recruitment for master's programs at Gdańsk University of Technology began on June 24. As part of the DigiWind project, the university has launched a new program: Smart Renewable Energy Engineering, offered by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. The program addresses the growing demand for offshore energy specialists in Poland and across Europe.
This innovative educational path—developed under the industry patronage of PGE Baltica—aims to prepare graduates for careers in the offshore wind energy sector. Future graduates will be qualified for roles such as turbine operations engineer, renewable energy consultant, or cybersecurity specialist, with potential monthly salaries reaching several thousand PLN gross.
