The Council for Scientific Excellence (RDN) has published the results of the elections for the 2024-2027 term. Prof. Andrzej Seweryn has been made a member of the Engineering and Technical Sciences Team in the mechanical engineering discipline.

Professors and habilitated doctors from all over Poland voted in the elections. Prof. Andrzej Seweryn received 285 votes, becoming the second most frequently chosen scientist in his discipline. Additionally, Prof. Lucyna Nyka, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the Gdańsk University of Technology became a member in the architecture and urban planning discipline.

What is RDN?

The Council for Science Excellence is an independent institution which purpose is to assess, monitor and advise on issues related to science, research and scientific development. The council's tasks include, among others: promoting scientific and research excellence, assessing the quality of research, supervising the process of awarding scientific degrees, and making recommendations and advising on issues related to the development of science.
