Teaching Celebration at Gdańsk University of Technology

Teaching Celebration at Gdańsk University of Technology
An evening full of emotions and joy – lecturers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, Dr. Eng. Aleksandra Wiśniewska, Vice Dean for Education, and Dr. Eng. Konrad Marszałkowski were recognized as the most appreciated lecturers by students during a ceremonial gala organized by the Center for Modern Education on October 14.

Teachers from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology (WIMiO) were honored in the #eduSHARE programme, which was created to recognize teachers for their work and to give students a voice, allowing them to express what is important in the student-teacher collaboration, what they need and expect when attending classes, and what they seek in their mentors.

Thirty lecturers were selected as finalists, and the programme's committee, consisting of students, the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, the Vice-Rector for Education, and the programme coordinator, chose 17 winners. They received statuettes and gold hashtag-shaped pins. However, it was not the awards and diplomas that brought the most joy to the winners, but the words written by their students about them.

WIMiO teachers were also recognized in other categories.

So far, 871 people have participated in "Didactic Fridays," not only from Gdańsk University of Technology, as the training is open to all interested parties. Recordings of the sessions are also available on YouTube, with over 11,000 views.
