Design and construction of yachts is one of the most popular study courses
It is worth to mention that yachting industry has been one of the fastest developing sectors of economy in the recent years. What is more, some of the recognized Polish yachting companies have their own construction and design bureaus and build the vessels on the basis of their own designs. This is one of the few branches of industry in Poland where designers, technicians or production engineers work on an attractive end products purchased worldwide. Our new study course, design and production of yachts is mostly of a practcal nature - students will have numerous practice and apprenticeship activities and the classes will be conducted by industry's best specialists.
Other study courses at the Faculty popular among the candidates include: transportation and logistics (10.55 candidates per place), mechatronics (9.43 candidates), production management and engineering (8.52 candidates), energy production (7.23 candidates), mechanics and machine construction (6.28 candidates), materials science (5.43 candidates), mechanical and medical engineering (4.62 candidates), ocean technology (3.99 candidates), mechanics and machine construction in English (3.93 candidates) and Energy Technologies (3.90 candidates).
As far as extramural studies are concerned, we recriuited students for two courses: mechanics and machine construction (2.47 candidates) and ocean technology (2 candidates).
The highest number of candidates (in general) at the faculty applied for mechatronics (849 persons), transportation and logistics (791 persons), mechanics and machine construction (753 persons).
GUT in the top
GUT is in the top of the most popular technical universities selected by candidates in Poland. This is confirmed by the recruitment results for academic year 2021/2022. Even more candidates than last year - 23127 - applied for a place at GUT (compared with 22999 applications last year) and 1261 candidates applied for the place at extramural courses.
Possible additional recruitment will be held in September. On September 2 at pg.edu.pl/rekrutacja we will publish a list of courses open for additional applications.
