About the institute
Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Rail Vehicles TABOR is the only research institute in Polan that comprehensively conducts work associated with the development, research and certification of rail vehicles. The company conducts motion research of vehicles on railways with velocities required by the ordering parties. The research includes static, quasi-static and dynamic properties of rail vehicles, acoustic, strength and travel-comfort properties of rail vehicles. The company can also test objects and vehicles from related areas (road vehicles, construction vehicles) in the range of static and fatigue strength, drives, motion parameters, heat-flow issues, vibration resistance and acoustic properties.
Within the conducted research and research-development projects conducted by the institute, the company conducts complex work associated with the development of all typs of rail vehicles such as: engines, electric trains, cargo and passenger railcars, trams, rail buses, road-and-rail vehicles.
