Space Tech Expo. This is the most important place for space industry in Europe
During Space Tech Expo fair it was possible to find out how European Space Agency can continue the development of its possibilities in order to strengthen its position, to learn about the newest technological achievements in sub-systems and application, to meet the representatives of companies operationg in the space technologies area.
Space Tech Expo was particularly important for our faculty, due to, for example, the fact that in cooperation with Hochschule Bremen we conduct 2nd degree course in Engineering and Management of Space Systems. The studies are conducted in English, and in the second term the students go to the German university. There they have access to linguistic, adaptation and intercultural trainings, they also receive special stipend for the duration of their stay in Hochschule Bremen. Graduates of the course will obtain GUT diploma in Space and Satellite Technologies and Hochschule Bremen diploma in a selected course i.e. Aerospace Technologies, Computer Science or Electronics Engineering.
Meetings in a "space city"
During the visit in Bremen there were meetings with the mayor of te city and representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Europe. The delegation also held meetings with the representatives of universities and the largest companies operating in space sector. The established contacts will result in new enterprises between Gdańsk University of Technology and German institutions.
The official delegation of the representatives of the Marshall's Office to Bremen between 15 - 17 November 2021 and Space Tech Expo was possible with the invitation of the Mayor of Bremen, Mr Andreas Bovenschulte.
Bremen is calles the German space city, mainly because of a large number of companies operating in the space sector such as: Airbus Defence & Space, OHB, Dsi, ZARM, ESA BIC, HESPACE Institutes, or DRL (German Space Agency).
This year we celebrate 45th anniversary of signing a partner agreement between Gdańsk and Bremen.
On December 1 we also celebrated 40th anniversary of signing a cooperation agreement between Gdańsk University of Technology and Hochschule Bremen.
