Fulbright STEM Impact Award
The scholarships are awarded in the areas of STEM (i.e. science, technology, engineering, mathematics), with the exception of projects requiring direct contact with the patient. Only projects in disciplines within the field of engineering and technical sciences and the fiels of exact sciences are accepted. The priority is given to: astronomy, computer science, mathematics, biological sciences, chemical sciences and physical sciences.
Program’s objectives
- researchers awarded with the scholarship share their own knowledge in a given STEM area (e.g. conduct lectures/seminars/workshops, prepare curricula/training materials) and/or conduct their own scientific research in the field of STEM (individually or as a part of a team/current project in host institution),
- the scholarship holder broadens his knowledge of the organizational structure and financial system of American scientific institutions, the commercialization of science and the effective writing of grant applications.
Host institution
The host institution may be an accredited university, non-profit research institute, or other approved non-profit US institution. The scholarship may be implemented in one host institution.
The scholarships are awarded for a period of 2 to 6 weeks. Projects lasting longer than 2 weeks are preferred.
