We Are Expanding Industry Collaboration: Agreement with Conoship International Poland
“Today marks a significant occasion as we sign a cooperation agreement with the international company Conoship International Poland. This is an important document for the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology – both for staff and students. The agreement has the potential to foster international career development, facilitate internships and placements for students, and open new opportunities in selecting dissertation topics,” noted Professor Mariusz Deja, Dean of the Faculty.
“It is a great honour for us to establish cooperation with the Gdańsk University of Technology’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. As a company, we are committed to supporting the university in promoting ship-related education and expanding the opportunities for student internships and placements. Graduates and final-year students will be given the chance to gain employment and develop their careers within our company,” highlighted Agnieszka Kościowska, Managing Director of Conoship International Poland.
The meeting also featured a presentation of Conoship International. Roel Blom explained the conceptual and technical design processes in ship design, while Piotr Bilski demonstrated the practical application of ship theory.
Conoship International is a Dutch company specialising in ship design and engineering, recognised as a leader in innovation and technology within the maritime industry. Since 1952, over 2,000 vessels have been constructed based on the company’s designs. Conoship offers solutions for the shipping industry, ranging from feasibility studies, consulting services, and basic design and engineering, to workshop drawings and project development, with a strong focus on efficiency and sustainability. The company boasts an international and diverse team located in Groningen, Rotterdam, and Gdańsk.
