Sławomir Milewski, Vice-Rector for Science and Adam Ślipy, President of Seatech Engineering, signed a consortium agreement for the implementation of the project.

Guest Editors are pleased to invite authors to contribute to the upcoming special issue entitled ‘Advancements and Research Trends in Gas Turbine for High-Efficiency Power Plants’, which will be published in the Energies journal.

This special edition is open to researchers and authors who wish to submit their research and review articles on issues related to modern gas turbine power plants (gas, combined and nuclear power plants and their thermodynamical cycles), detailed analyses related to the design of modern gas turbines, compressors and fans, both axial and radial, problems of design and operation of gas micro turbines.

Exploring risk governance and risk perception of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships: Interpretation and implications

Recently, there has been a significant interest in industry, regulatory, and academic contexts in the prospects of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS). Among other things, this topic will be discussed during the lecture by prof. Floris Goerlandt with. The meeting will be held on March 3 in room 616 (Institute of Ocean Engineering and Shipbuilding) at 12:30.

This talk focuses on the role of different societal actors in the decision-making processes concerning the conceptualization, design, and operational implementation of these future vessels. In particular, the introduction of MASS is framed in a risk governance context, with particular attention given to the role of risk perception in societal decision making.
