Tribology Laboratory
TriboLab tribology laboratory is one of the group of strategic laboratories of the Gdańsk University of Technology (GdanskTech) - CoreLab. It is a synthesis of the experience of teams from the merged faculties: the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, where parallel research groups in the field of tribology and bearing engineering operated and co-operated for many years.
Mechanics of Materials and Structures Laboratory
The Laboratory of Mechanics of Materials and Structures was created as a result of the merger of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology of GUT from the combination of former laboratories: Laboratory of Strength of Materials and Laboratory of Ocean Marine Structures.

Mars rover presented by the students is the continuation of last year’s work. We already wrote about it on our website. This version has some new components and a brand new control application.
Summary of diploma theses and possible cooperation with Base Group
In the beginning of this year, two students: Michał Bilicki and Maciej Biedrzycki defended their diploma theses at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology. During the meeting at Base Group, the graduates summarised their projects.
Michał Bilicki defended the thesis entitled „Analysis of the variants of technological process in the aspects of time and manufacturing costs for mechanical components”, supervised by professor Mariusz Deja. The thesis was written on the basis of an engineering problem encountered by Base Group.

In mid-September 2022, the "Hey, are you OK?" project was launched at Gdańsk University of Technology. The main goal of it is to support the emotional health of students and employees. The activities are coordinated by Gdańsk Tech International Relations Office.
