23rd International Students' Science Session "Materials and Technologies of the 21st Century"

We would like to invite you to participate in 23rd International Students' Science Session "Materials and Technologies of the 21st Century". The event is organized by the Facult of Materials Science of Silesian Technical University and students' science clubs Mater-Tech and Technomat. The event will take place on 28 May 2021. Participation is free of charge, and there are prizes to be given. The details can be found in the regulations available on  https://sesja.mater.tech/pl website.

Prof. Edmund Wittbrodt elected to chair the Committee of Space Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences in Gdańsk

General meeting of the members of the Committee of Space Sciences of Polish Academy of Sciences unianimously elected professor Edmund Wittbrodt, PhD, DSc, ME to be the chairman of the committee for 2021-2025 term of office.

The Committee of Space Sciences is one of ten committees of the Gdańsk branch of Polish Academy of Sciences (others are: Committee of the Water Management of Wisła Delta; Committee of the History of Art and Culture of Sopot; Committee of Marine and Tropical Medicine; Committee of Space Sciences; Committee of Marine Law; Committee of Marine Sociology; Committee of Ecosphere; Committee of Information Technology; Committy of Shaping the Territory of Northern Poland; Committee of Medical Sciences).

Another edition of post-graduate study course Off-shore Wind Energy at Gdańsk Tech

Gdańsk University of Technology is the first Polish university that teaches staff for the sector of marine wind energy production. Future-oriented and fitting the job market trends, these studies are very popular among students and we are currently recruiting students for the 3rd edition of this post-graduate study course. Our new strategic partner is PKN Orlen.  

The post-graduate course Off-shore Wind Energy Production was launched in autumn 2019 at the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology (currently: Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology). From the beginning we knew that their potential is very big: all 60 slots were taken within three days. t
