Visit of the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defence, Marcin Ociepa at Gdańsk Tech

On Tuesday, May 11 GUT was visited by the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Defence, Marcin Ociepa. During his stay, Mr. Ociepa held a meeting with the authorities of Gdańsk Tech and the management of the Center of Marine Military Technologies, he also visited model testing tank at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology of Gdańsk Tech.

The Secretary was accompanied by col. Jacek Najs (MoD), Rafał Sobolewski (NCBiR) and Magdalena Sroka, MP. The visitors were hosted by the authorities of the university: professor Krzysztof Wilde, Rector of Gdańsk Tech, and professor Janusz Nieznański, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology was represented by its dean, professor Andrzej Seweryn, while the Center of Marine Military Technologies was represented by its chairman, Andrzej Ogonowski and Paweł Zariczny.

Results of the competition for students' projects

First competition for financing students'projects at the faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology has been settled.

The Faculty Committee, after careful and analysis of the content of the filed requests reached their decision assessing each of the criteria in the evaluation sheet. The Committee recommended that 5 out of 6 requests filed in the competition will be eligible for financing. The dean of the Faculty, professor Andrzej Seweryn accepted the Committee's recomendations.
