Career Path

I began my professional journey at Gdańsk Shiprepair Yard, undertaking an internship in the Production Preparation Department. In the following years, I worked as a designer in various design offices, both within and outside the shipyard. Later, I established my own business, which led to a collaboration with Conoship International, based in Groningen, the Netherlands. This partnership resulted in the establishment of the Polish branch, now operating as Conoship International Poland sp. z o.o.

What opportunities do you believe studies at WIMiO provide?

Studying is a tool, and I believe it should be treated as such. A tool itself is of little use unless we know how to utilise it effectively. Therefore, everything depends on one's individual approach.

What did you learn during your studies?

Soft skills are just as important as technical skills. Relationships with fellow students and lecturers can open more doors than an engineering degree alone.

Cooperation between WIMiO and Seatech Engineering. Another Agreement signed
Substantive support over thesis, consultation on curriculum and internships development, or support in the organization of professional training for students. On January 28, Prof. Mariusz Deja, dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology, signed a cooperation agreement with Seatech Engineering – a ship design office from Gdańsk, specialized in medium-sized vessels for the shipbuilding industry.

The agreement on cooperation has been concluded as part of future personnel training process for the maritime industry under the 2nd degree program Naval Architecture & Offshore Structures within the new “study and work” formula. Recruitment has just started.
