The agreement on cooperation has been concluded as part of future personnel training process for the maritime industry under the 2nd degree program Naval Architecture & Offshore Structures within the new “study and work” formula. Recruitment has just started.
Łukasz Szyca is a graduate of the Faculty of Ocean Engineering and Ship Technology.
The lecture took place on 9 January 2025 and was attended by first-semester students of Yacht Design and Construction.
This programme is distinguished by a significant number of practical training sessions and internships. Additionally, some classes are taught by industry professionals, as was the case with this lecture.

Students from SimLE are designing a vehicle for the RoboBoat competition, an international student event held annually in Sarasota, Florida. Teams from around the world design autonomous robotic boats to navigate a challenging course.
So far, the students have constructed two such vehicles: ASV Perkoz and ASV Rybitwa. One significant innovation for the new craft is that Zimorodek will not be built using laminate. Instead, the students will manufacture the hull using 3D printing technology.

Eligibility:
Dr Magdalena Jażdżewska aims to investigate how advanced laser technologies can enhance the durability and functional properties of coatings used on medical implants.
"The planned activity involves producing composite surface layers on titanium alloy substrates by depositing nanohydroxyapatite coatings, which will then be remelted using laser technology," explains Dr Magdalena Jażdżewska. Hydroxyapatite, a hard crystalline component of human bone, is widely used as a coating material to modify the surface of implants.
