Obszar zainteresowań badawczych
Działalność dydaktyczna i badawcza Katedry Automatyki Energetyki jest głównie związana z analizą, modelowaniem, projektowaniem, symulacją, sterowaniem oraz diagnostyką układów dynamicznych występujących w okrętownictwie, a także w szeroko rozumianych systemach energetycznych, ze szczególną uwagą skupioną na napędów turbinowych.
Baza Laboratoryjna: Baza laboratoryjna Katedry Automatyki Okrętowej i Napędów Turbinowych stanowi zaplecze techniczne prowadzonych badań naukowych oraz umożliwia sprawną realizację procesu dydaktycznego. Możliwości takie stwarzają między innymi:
- badawcze laboratorium turbinowe – nowocześnie wyposażone stanowisko modelowej turbiny powietrznej, wykorzystywane między innymi w pracach nad wpływem uszczelnień nadbandażowych na siły oddziałujące na wirnik,
- dydaktyczne laboratorium turbinowe - stanowiska pomiarowe, programy: LAB-VIEW (wizualizacja pomiarów), FLUENT (modelowanie przepływów), FLOWER(modelowanie przepływów), ROTOR KIT(modelowanie dynamiki wirników),
- dydaktyczne laboratorium automatyki i robotyki; stanowiska pomiarowe, systemy robotów i manipulatorów, programy komputerowe: MATLAB, ROTOR KIT
